Van of Valor

My heart is in my throat as I write this. Our beloved van, our “Van of Valor,” has given us everything she has. She’s carried us on missions of mercy, been a shelter in storms, and a vessel of hope. She’s a wheeled memorial of so many names already. But now, she’s broken down. Again.

And yet again, it’s serious.

Mercedes said to get her to Denver, but the mechanics we’ve spoken to have said the words we dread: “She won’t make it. If you try, she will die 100%.”

Hearing that felt like a punch to the gut. This isn’t just a vehicle; she’s a part of our family and our mission. We are desperate.

We are turning to you, our community, in our darkest hour with this van. We are begging for a miracle in the form of a mechanic. We need someone who understands Mercedes Sprinters (or similar vans) and has the heart to help us for cheap, or even free if possible. We know it’s a huge ask, but we have nowhere else to turn.

Please, if you are that person, or if you know someone who might be, we are on our knees. Please, please, please help us save the Van of Valor.

What we need: A skilled mechanic with Mercedes/Sprinter knowledge who can diagnose and hopefully repair her.

What we can offer: Our eternal gratitude, a story to tell, and whatever we can scrape together for parts.
