GOLD STAR MOTHER REVEALS THE LAST MEAL SHE SHARED WITH HER DAUGHTER BEFORE DRONE ATTACK KILLED HER

Sergeant Breonna Moffett, 23, Was a Drum Major, an Academic, and a Hero

SAVANNAH, GA – They had shrimp and grits. Sweet tea. Laughter. Plans.

It was the last meal Francine Moffett would ever share with her daughter, US Army Sergeant Breonna Alexsondria Moffett, before the young woman deployed overseas.

On January 28, 2024, a drone attack on Tower 22 in Jordan killed Breonna. She was twenty-three years old. A drum major in high school—just like the anthropologist who would later interview her mother. An academic. A driver. A daughter with a smile that lit up every room she entered.

“Breonna had a heart bigger than this whole city,” Francine said, her voice steady but filled with emotion. “She believed in doing something that mattered, in being part of something greater than herself.”
