TONIGHT: “Van of Valor” Comes to American Heritage Museum for Historic Pre-250th Birthday Event

Survivor Marc Fucarile and authors Kevin and L. Wright Wallace to take the stage at 6:00 P.M. tonight.

HUDSON, MA (July 2, 2026) – The wait is over. Tonight, Thursday, July 2, the American Heritage Museum will host a powerful evening of storytelling just hours before the nation marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

At 6:00 P.M., the museum presents “History After Hours: Oral Histories of American Patriotism,” featuring the authors of the newly released Van of Valor. Retired Senior Master Sergeant Dr. Kevin P. Wallace and co-author L. Wright Wallace will recount their 280-day mission to preserve the stories of America’s heroes, while the evening is moderated by Boston Marathon bombing survivor Marc Fucarile.

“Tonight is about honoring the 317 veterans and Gold Star Families who shared their stories with us,” said Dr. Wallace. “We are standing on the shoulders of giants, and I can’t think of a better place to share their voices than beneath the tanks and aircraft at the American Heritage Museum.”
