An Introduction to Our Van of Valor Music Series
From the Albemarle’s cathedral sky to the Piedmont’s red clay roll, we journeyed across the Carolinas with a purpose in our soul.
A wheel flew free on I-40 westâbut Providence put us to the test. In Charlotte’s hail, with a bruise-skied fight, Hendrick’s hands made things right. The mission pushed forward. Because that’s what we do. Until the wheels fall off.
The Heroes We Carry
On back roads south to hear the heart of the country we love, we found a Green Beret in Summervilleâfour Purple Hearts, a Silver Star, from Vietnam to Fallujah’s scar. He stood for LCpl Prazynski’s name and bore the weight of honor’s flame.
Through the Lowcountry’s green oak tunnel, past pluff mud’s deep life smell, by egret fields and tabby ruins where history’s stories swell, we carried on for Gold Star kin. To let their love and light come in.
“Get up, Soldier!” rings in our earsâa wounded warrior’s cry through years.
The Roll Call
We roll for Higgins, Hampton, Nixon’s fight. For a Green Beret who bore the night. For Gay’s courage, for McKeown’s stand, for Murillo, Dahmer, Dawson’s hand. We bear the torch for Moffett and Sandersâbright stars gone.
For every scar, for every dawn. From Vietnam to Jordan’s sand, we carry them through this revealing land. Through breakdowns and storms, we answer the call.

Lyrics:
Until The Wheels Fall Off
Oh, we roll for the brave, for the true, for the free,
From the sea to the pines, for the world yet to see.
Through the breakdowns and storms, we will answer the call,
In the Van of Valor, we give our all!
From the Albemarleâs cathedral sky,
To the Piedmontâs red clay roll,
A journey âcross the Carolinas,
With a purpose in our soul.
A wheel flew free on I-40 west,
But Providence put us to the test.
In Charlotteâs hail, a bruise-skied fight,
Hendrickâs hands made things right.
On back roads south to hear the heart,
Of the country that we love.
In Summerville, a heroâs part,
A Green Beret from wars above.
Four Purple Hearts, a Silver Star,
From Vietnam to Fallujahâs scar.
He stood for LCpl Prazynskiâs name,
And bore the weight of honorâs flame.
Oh, we roll for the brave, for the true, for the free,
From the sea to the pines, for the world yet to see.
Through the breakdowns and storms, we will answer the call,
In the Van of Valor, we give our all!
Through the Lowcountryâs green oak tunnel,
Past the pluff mudâs deep, life smell.
By egret fields and tabby ruins,
Where historyâs stories swell.
âGet up, Soldier!â rings in our ears,
A wounded warriorâs cry through years.
We carry on for Gold Star kin,
To let their love and light come in.
We roll for Higgins, Hampton, Nixonâs fight,
For a Green Beret who bore the night.
For Gayâs courage, for McKeownâs stand,
For Murillo, Dahmer, Dawsonâs hand.
We bear the torch for Moffett and Sanders, bright stars gone,
For every scar, for every dawn.
From Vietnam to Jordanâs sand,
We carry them through this revealing land.
And weâll roll for the brave, for the true, for the free,
From the mountains to the shores of the sea.
For every name, through trial and sorrow,
We pledge our hearts to your tomorrow.
In the Van of Valor,
For our country,
We give our all.
